Highlighting the top Ninja Warrior competitors

And the Spotlight Competitor is... Click to Reveal
Shinya Kishimoto

Shinya Kishimoto

Shinya Kishimoto is a virtual unknown to most fans of ninja warrior. Yet I have seen him do things that no other competitor in all of ninja warrior has even come close to doing. I would have to say he is the best upper body competitor in all of ninja warrior. To get an idea of what he can do, check out his entry video to Sasuke 2013.

Shinya has gone as far as building his own ninja warrior obstacle course called FS Park (pictured on the right), which features many of the toughest ninja warrior obstacles including the vertical limit, ultimate cliffhanger, cray cliffhanger, pipe slider, warped wall, salmon ladder, quad steps, and jumps to different ropes, numchucks, and chains. However, he also has other cliffhangers and vertical limits that make the ones on the show look pathetic. FS ParkThis exemplifies how ready he is for the actual obstacles.

In the past, Shinya has gone out on the first stage, particularly the quad steps. Therefore, his lower body has been much weaker than his upper body. To train, he took up the sport of parkour and can now wall run, do several cork flips, and even jump clear over obstacles as high as his neck. This

demonstrates a key aspect in training for ninja warrior, which is to train every aspect of your body. A lot of competitors focus primarily on their upper body and lack the lower body for obstacles like the warped wall, quad steps, spider walk, and the different jumps to obstacles.
